The park covers the mountainous Serra de Arrábida, covered in Mediterranean-like vegetation and a microclimate of which resemble Adriatic locations such as Dalmatia.

The more eastern areas, the cliffs were populated with importance species of Macaronesian flora, supporting nesting species of maritime and raptor birds protected by international convention.[3] In this area there is a lot of vegetation, that means the people want to care for the trees.
