Latvenergo AS holds 51% share in Liepājas enerģija SIA. The company ensures generation, transmission, distribution and supply of thermal energy in the city of Liepaja, as well as generation of electricity in cogeneration mode.

The total installed thermal energy capacity of the Liepaja plants is 223 MWth, including 40 MWth from a renewable resource – wood chips. Installed electrical capacity totals 6 MWel. In 2015, Liepaja plants generated 229 GWh of thermal energy and 48 GWh of electricity.
