The nuclear power stations are use since 1984.

There are 3 stations but only 2 are in use.

The owners are RWE (75%) and E.ON (25%).

 

They both have an electric power of 1.344 MW and a thermal power of 3.840 MW.

They are both boiling-water reactors.

 

They produce about 21 billion kWh every year and have 700 employees.

 

The nuclear power station B is going to be closed down at the latest at 31.12.2017.

 

The nuclear power station C is going to be closed down at the latest at 31.12.2021.
