Isar
The nuclear power station “Isar II” is close to Landshut.
There were two stations at the Isar but only Isar II is still in use.
Isar I was a boiling-water reactor and Isar II is a pressurised water reactor.
In 1982 the construction works began.
The then owners were Bayernwerk AG (40%), Isar-Amperwerke AG (25%), Stadt München (25%), Energieversorgung Ostbayern (10%).
Now the owners are E.ON (75%) and Stadtwerke München (25%).
Since the 9.4.1988 the nuclear power station Isar II is in use.
It has an electric power of 1.410 MW and a thermal power of 3.950 MW.
In 2015 it had a power generation of 11.107 GWh.
It’s going to be closed down at the latest in 2022.
